Snappit AS in cooperation with SMS Development & Support As have developed a new and revolutionary system for the hospitality industry.
The purpose of this system is to simplify the ordering process so that the waiter gets more time. This through offering the guest an opportunity to send orders direct to the RmsV program from their smart phones.
More time for the waiter
The time freed for the waiter is the waiting time the guest uses to decide and convey the order, and also the time used to maintain the overview in the premises and what the guests needs.
This time can now be used to more important tasks. The waiter can e.g. have time to a quality filled dialogue with the guest, more than just about practical details. We know that more quality time with the guests will lead to a better relation between the guest and the restaurant and this again leads to more sales and eventuality more tip
More tip to the extent that the guest experience better service in the form of faster satisfaction of the guest needs, and a nicer relation with the waiter.
Restaurant guests with smart phones can, by using a mobile customized home page (web-app), look at the menu of the restaurant and send order directly to the RmsV Pos system (cash register).
The service simplifies the ordering process by cutting the interaction terms between guest and waiter. The guest will no longer be dependent of the waiter to place their orders.
After the guest has registered and informed the system which restaurant and table he/she is visiting, the guest has the opportunity to look at the menu in the restaurant, make orders, track the order, and ask for the bill.
When the guest wants to order something, he/she presses the Menu button and can choose between Food, Drinks and Miscellaneous. By choosing e.g. Drinks all the different categories of drinks will be shown.
The guest wants something to drink, and after pressing the Drink button, the different choices of drinks appear. The guest wants a coffee and presses the Coffee/Tea button. A list of all the variants of coffee appears. The guest wants a cappuccino and presses that button. Now a pop up window opens with information about cappuccino together with a tempting photo. The guest chooses how many and presses “Put in Cart”. The guest will then be back in the Drinks menu for more orders.
Now the guest can choose to order more, or if the guest is satisfied he/she presses the “Cart” button to send the order. The Cart appears and the guest can see that he/she has chosen 1 Cappuccino at Nok 36,- and that the total price of the order is Nok 36,-. Then the guest confirms the order and sends the order to the RmsV Pos system (cash register). The cash register receives the order of 1 Cappuccino to "Mr. Johnson" , at table 22, and the waiter can deliver the items ordered.
The guest makes the same procedure to place orders of other things as e.g. New York Strip. The guest will also have the possibility to add a number of preferences (modifiers), such as frying time, accessories and spices.
